Digital Civic Engagement Syllabus and OERs
The Digital Civic Engagement Syllabus and OERs provide educators with a complete set of resources for introducing digital civic engagement into their teaching in a structured way that complements overall learning objectives. As higher education can be carried out in different environments (continuing education, under-graduate & postgraduate), the OERs have been designed so that educators can use them in a very flexible way. Feel free to add to them, remove certain slides or keep them as they are!
The pedagogic guide for the Digital Civic Engagement Syllabus and OERs is designed to aid educators on how to use the OERs, what content is covered within the Modules, and how the information could be taught. The pedagogic guide also explains the relationship of the OERs to IO1 & IO2 and guidance on how to use them together. Learning objectives of the Modules is also discussed, with cross referencing to competency frameworks such as DigComp & EntreComp.
